Fancy Dress Parties Are Fun

Saturday night i had been asked if i could videotape a party... So i did. Unfortunately i wasn't aware it was fancy dress party so i didn't get to dress up. It was even Disney themed. A few of my friends asked what i would've gone as... I said 'Sebastien, from little mermaid'... Which got a few laughs... But as i told one of the girls, 'You know you'd want my crabmeat'. ;) The party was heaps of fun so during the 30mins the videocamera was charging i whipped out my baby and snapped a few shots.

After the party i had to head up to Kings cross for my club shoots. This time i did Starfuckers @ Club77, Beware the Cat @ YU, MetltBar & Moulin Rouge.

Australia Day & MTV Show Launch

Here in Sydney, Australia Day is always a great day for parties. i spent most of the day asleep, but got up in the arvo to go to the launch for MTV's new shoe 'The Lair'. They had bands Jet & Kasabian playing live, plus a special appearance from My Chemical Romance. They actually closed off a laneway in the city and set up some stages in there. Was kind of fun.

After that, i caught up with Romana (an Austrian couchsurfer who was staying the night at my place) and we went to my friend Katherine's for a BBQ/pool party. Wound up with a group of us all crammed in the Spa drinking the night away.

Still after that elusive break

Last week was another busy one. I went to a Pool Party on wednesday after having spent the day wandering around the city. Wasn't much of a pool... They had a small inflatable kiddie pool, but there was free alcohol.

Then Thursday night i went up to The Cross to support my friend Rob playing the 'Lounge Room'. He did really well, even managed to fill the room during his set.

After leaving The cross, i had to get back to work taking some shots of Sydney (one of my projects). Actually managed to get some good shots on my walk back to Central station.

Sunday Mornings

So alot of people spend their sunday mornings in bed or watching tv, or just doing some lazy gardening... I'm usually still out clubbing or trashbagging in some random place. This last sunday was no different. Was at Pure Pleasure @ Bar Broadway until about 1.30-2am taking pic's for Ange.

Stopped at Brighton along the way to catch up with my boy Maxi and had to get a photo of Heywire with Avalon looking goony goth style.

After having a good laugh at Avalon, we continued our journey to Kings Cross to go to Moulin Rouge. We spent a couple more hours hanging there before we went back home to kill the rest of the morning watching crap on tv.

Made it back to my place around 8am, but then i went to my friend Therese's for a Wine breakfast and to take some photo's for her, her apartment was slightly damaged by movers and she wanted photographic evidence. Wound up not actually get any sleep till sunday night.

Nightlife coming back to life.

It looks like the New Years recovery period is coming to an end as there were people out in the city again. Not back to full force yet... But getting there. Friday night i just went to Katwalk @ Equilibrium.

Saturday Night was a fair bit busier, firstly doing Podwars at The Cricketers Arms Hotel, 'Dappled Cities Fly' at Hopetoun Hotel and Sweetchilli @ The Gaelic Club.
