Still Busy... Someone give me a break

Tuesday was my dad's 50th birthday so i had to go over to Rozelle for dinner. Went to some semi-fancy restaurant and had a pretty tasty 'lamb with red wine jus'.

Wednesday i went up to KingsX to meet up with some friends and wound up wandering around taking some random photo's.

Thursday i was heading up to Candy's Apartment for the launch of new rock night 'Groupie', but when i got there they were closing up... So i dropped by Sam & Barbs place before going over to meet up with friends at the Judgement bar on Oxford St... Before heading back to one of the girl's apartments for more drinks (before going home around 7am).

Busy Times

Yeah, i know i've been slack on my updates but hey it's been a busy time for me. Alright so after my first week at work for '07 i headed out for my usual weekend of parties... Unfortunately the city was pretty dead being the first weekend after New years... Hell not everyone is like me, out partying every weekend... Some people do need a break every now and then. I didn't take any photo's at Katwalk as the crowd wasn't big enough. So after checking out a few other places i came to the conclusion that the city was dead... And went back to Kate's to drink with her Max, Ronnie & Mel.

Saturday i headed into Surrey Hills to meet with Kat & Rich for a late breakfast, before going back to Kat's to swim in the rooftop pool (she lives at the Waldorf in the city so there is a pool on the roof :).

Saturday night was still pretty quiet but i was shooting for The Brag so i had to hit a few venues during the night, Went to Cricketers Arms, Melt Bar & The Cross... was supposed to do Excelsior as well but it was beyond empty. After The Brag shoots i went up to Candy's Apartment for Lookin' Good.

After Lookin' Good i went down to Spice, but due to the quiet night it was kinda empty... So they kicked us out at 7.30am instead of letting us wait till normal closing time.

New Years Day 2007

So about 3am we arrived at Darlingharbour to find a large gate with police only letting through people holding tickets for parties within the gates. Took a bit of work, but i discovered that the glass doors near the cab rank outside Home were open so made it in to the harbour that way and picked up my ticket from Sam. I even managed to score an extra ticket so that i could bring along Rich, i had to run it back upto the gate to get him through. The boat set sail around 4am. Picture this, some of Sydney's biggest party animals floating around the harbour listening to some of the funkiest electro beats while completely trashed... Put simply an awesome boat party.

After the cruise a few of us posed for a group shot at the cafe across the road from the wharf, before dropping back to one house or another...

Rich and I wound up back at Kat's for drinks... Then we left, Rich back home for sleep and me over to Timmy's for more drinks and to get ready for Field Day. Unfortunately i didn'y have a ticket and was unable to Blag my way in... So just wound up sitting on the steps of the art gallery listening to the tunes and chatting with other ticketless randoms wandering around. Still had a great day and didn't manage to get home until 10pm monday night. So yeah, as you can imagine i was still pretty retarded when i got to work on Tuesday... Well, at least i got the Monday off.

New Years Eve 2007

Alright, i had a f*cking amazing New Years. I'm sorry for anyone who didn't enjoy the night as i know how it feels, i was suffering depression during my last few NYE's and started hating holidays. Anyways all that is behind me and i had the best New Years ever (Second place would be the one i spent hanging out with my 2 best friends at the time. We sat on top of a hill watching fireworks from four directions, i think i was 16 or 17).
So this NYE i was actually doing some work taking photo's for The Brag, which was excellent as i had a grand total of $50 for the night. I took my friend Rich Nicol out as my +1 for the night as he had been late making plans and alot of places were sold out. Our first stop for the night was The Blacket for Chris Coco & Malente. Access to the VIP area and free drinks are always a good start to the night.

Our next stop was Cargo Bar where Hed Kandi where playing a live set... Unfortunately due to timing we weren't able to see them play. But we did get to see Katherine Ly rocking things up, and looking sexy, onstage with The Potbelleez and MC Blu. Plus we got to see part of the fireworks.

After Cargo it was on to Tank, where Mousse T was playing a live set in the main room. Nice guy, he even posed for a photo with me :)

About 2.30am we walked back down to Darling Harbour to the pick-up point for Spice Afloat. Oh and to finish my NYE post, here are a few pics i took of people wandering the streets throughout the night. Happy New Years everyone.
